All-Steel Structures and Different Configuration Characteristics

An important configuration to look at is the steel hybrid. Any hybrid building system has engineering flexibility and can meet loading requirements by portraying an effective architectural silhouette. Hybrid structures combine the soundness of metal building popularity with the durability of conventional steel members. Shopping around for accessories is not required because they are fabricated and supplied by one source. These buildings are put up easily and fast-in a fraction of the time that traditional resources such as brick would take. A wide variety of options can complete any engineering stipulations regardless of how big your project is. Larger enterprises can realize significant cost savings by opting for a hybrid structure.

A single slope building design is a viable alternative. This is a simple sloping rooftop in a singular plane, where the roof slope spans from one sidewall to the other sidewall and does not come to a gable. Numerous suburban strip malls utilize this construction.

The unsymmetrical gable structure is also a popular choice. Known as twin sloped, this is a ridged structure in which the ridge of the rooftop is designed to be off-center. It is a favorite for restaurants or specialty shops.

A lean-to is also a design style you might consider. It allows for more room beneath the roof of your existing structure and can be partially or completely sealed, depending on your needs. Most any lean-to will affix below or right at the lower roof edge of your steel building. Lean-tos are used for storage and livestock boarding, amongst other uses.

Finally, there is the symmetrical gable building. The ridge of the rooftop in this design is in the center of the building. This is also referred to as a ridged or double sloped design, and is the most favored steel structure chosen.
